2805.jpgThe Wallace High School Parent teacher Association held its final events of the academic year this week. A Balloon race took place on Thursday, with Prep and Year 8 and 9 pupils attending the release. A great carnival atmosphere was created , thanks to the work of hosts Marc Jamison and Keith Lunn from Lower Sixth.

The innivative fundraising activity, organised by Chairperson of the PTA Jim Ward and teacher Gillian McGarry, was generously sponsored by bmi and Oasis Travel. The owner of the winning balloon will win a weekend in any of bmi’s European destinations.

The first balloon tickets have already atarted arriving back at the Clonevin Park School, with Scotland’s East Coast being the furthest distance travelled at present.

The PTA also hosted a barbecue for P7 pupils and their families, providing an opportunity to relax together before the summer holidays and the move to “big school”. This has been another successful year for the Association, with a busy calendar of events from golf competitions to quizzes, school discos to dinner dances.
