The Wallace High School Open Morning 2025 will take place on Saturday, 11th January. Doors open at 9:00 am and Open Morning ends at 12:00 noon. The Wallace High School Prospectus 2025 is now live. Wallace High School Open Morning Programme 2025

On Wallace High School Open Morning, we have a full programme of events across the various departments. These include:

The Principal’s Address will take place at 9.15am and 11.00am in the Assembly Hall.

Our Dance Club will be performing in the Gym at 9.45 and 10.45, so make sure to drop by and see their preparations for their inaugural dance competition in 2025.  

In Biology, Chemistry and Physics Departments we have a wide range of interactive experiments. Come and join our young scientists in exploring the science around us, DNA profiling and using VR to bring science alive, to name but a few!

In English, take part in an interactive Cluedo experience, get a Shakespearean inspired photo, and find out what exciting opportunities exist in GCSE Drama!

Our Religious Studies Department has a murder mystery to solve, and do you have what it takes to break free from the Maths Department escape room?

In Geography, it’s time to get hands-on by creating your very own geographical features, whilst in History, there is a live dramatisation of Henry VIII and his six wives.

Nutrition and Food Science are hosting some food-themed quizzes, as well as allowing everyone to sample some fabulous food.

Our young musicians will be entertaining visitors throughout the school with live music; come and visit the Music Department to learn more about our commitment to Music and the Arts at Wallace.

In Art and Moving Image Arts, there is the chance to view some of the amazing talent at Wallace, as well as playing a part in your very own Hollywood blockbuster using our green screen technology.

In Computing it is time to get technical and immerse yourself in our robot programming, coding, Microbits, Minecraft and VR.

Our Modern Languages Department has a variety of engaging activities to get everyone involved in learning languages, with their international café and VR, along with plenty more.

For those looking to get more active, our PE Department has games for you to play in our Sports Hall and the Gym. Come along and visit our state-of-the-art fitness suite and watch our Medallion A, U14A and U13A rugby teams play Methody on our back pitches from 10.30am onwards. There will also be hockey fixtures on our back hockey pitch throughout the morning.

Technology and Design will be offering our visitors the chance to be involved in CAD and CAM design work and our First Tech Robot Programme.  You can also explore here what studying Motor Vehicle Studies at GCSE will be like.

Wallace High School Open MorningOur dedicated PTA will be offering refreshments in the Link Area, and we will have Year 8 and 9 tour guides on hand to help visitors navigate the school.

Wallace High School Open Morning – Accessibility and Parking

Due to ongoing sustainability works, totalling over £2.9 million, there will be no access via the Bellevue Drive gate on Open Morning. The school can be accessed via the front gate on Clonevin Park or the rear gate on Magheralave Road.

Parking will be limited on Open Morning. Please be considerate of our neighbours when parking near the school. Visitors are reminded that Thompson House is private property and should not be used for parking.

Getting Around Wallace on Open Morning
