A2 Results
A-level examinations are a defining moment in a student’s academic journey, and each year, remarkable individuals achieve extraordinary results. These outstanding performances are a testament to the dedication, resilience, and hard work of our students who strive for academic excellence. We always take great delight in seeing so many of our students achieve their true potential. This year, 28 students achieved all A grades, with many achieving four As.
Our outgoing Head Boy, Max Kamalarajah, achieved an amazing 5 A* grades, and Luke Nase was awarded 4 A* grades and an A. Maia Crawford, Jodie Fletcher, and James Johnston were all awarded three A* grades and an A. Gracie Millar attained 3 A* grades. This year, we also had 17 students completing four or more A-levels.
One inspiring story is that of Jodie. Jodie’s passion for languages and her meticulous approach to study paid off, earning her a place at the University of Cambridge to study French and Russian. Jodie will be joining Newnham College in September. She is following in the footsteps of many alumni who have had great success at Oxford or Cambridge. Her success is a shining example of how determination and a deep interest in one’s subjects can lead to exceptional results. With a strong super-curricular programme and careers support, we hope that many of our incoming Year 14 students will be able to emulate Jodie’s achievement.
Delighting in her achievement, Jodie remarked:
‘I am over the moon with joy at being able to study at Cambridge. I cannot wait to start the next stage of my education, and I look forward to the challenges ahead. I want to thank all my teachers at Wallace who have helped make my dream come true.’
It is always exceptionally pleasing to see so many of our students gain places in their desired university and tertiary-level courses. Many of our young people have secured places to study Medicine, Law, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, and Finance, at both local and national universities. We also have several students following their passions and beginning apprenticeships.
Outgoing Head Boy, Max, stated:
‘I am delighted to have achieved my results and look forward to studying Medicine at Queen’s University. A big thank you to all the staff at Wallace who made this possible and made life at school so enjoyable for the past seven years.’
AS Results
Our AS grades have once again established a strong foundation for next year’s A-Level results, with several students achieving an impressive four straight A grades, along with an A* in A-Level Mathematics completed within a single year. Again, many of our AS students are studying four or more subjects.
These excellent AS results also underscore the variety of subject pathways, as students have capitalised on their interests and strengths, leading to outstanding performances at this stage. Many AS students have also been enhancing their knowledge and skills through external competitions, such as the computing and science Olympiads. At Wallace, we understand the importance of stretching and challenging all our students and encouraging them to engage in super-curricular activities.

Mrs O’Hare
Reflecting on the A-level results, Principal Mrs O’Hare commented:
“We are immensely proud of our students’ achievements in both AS and A2 Level examinations. This year’s results reflect not only their hard work and dedication but also the effectiveness of their strategic subject choices. The number of students securing top grades, including A*s and A grades across a range of subjects, is a testament to their commitment to excellence. These successes highlight the students’ ability to harness their strengths and interests effectively, paving the way for future academic and professional achievements. Our teachers’ unwavering support and the school’s focus on nurturing each student’s potential have been crucial in these accomplishments. As we celebrate these results, we are excited for our students as they move forward, confident and well-prepared for the next chapter of their academic journeys.”
