A Clean Sweep

1406.jpgCongratualions to The Wallace High School Girls’ hockey teams who enjoyed a clean sweep in last week’s Lagan Valley League.

In the final, the Under 13 XI defeated Methodist College Belfast by 2 – 0 , with Wallace goals coming from centre forward Chloe Harrsion and right wing Adele Rodgers.

The Wallace Under 14XI enjoyed a dynamic start to their match against Methodist College, scoring two super goals in the frst five minutes of play. The first came from Centre Forward Holly Clarke, followed by another from left wing Rebekah Ward. Methody managed to open their scoring in the last few minutes of the game leaving the final score at 2 -1 to Wallace.

At Under 16 level the Wallace girls displayed a clear progression in tactical awareness in the duration of the League.
All in all winning the League was a fitting end to a very enjoyable season and the teams would like to thank their coaches for the hard work put in over the past months..
