RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’. It is a way to easily distribute content (news, stories, podcasts, the tutorial you’re reading right now) to a large number of people. Software programs, called RSS readers, take that content and present it in an easy to view format.
RSS feeds are read by RSS Readers. With an RSS reader you can subscribe to many feeds and read the new entries all in one place, without having to visit individual Web sites to find out what’s new. Web Browsers such as FireFox or Internet Explorer 7 have RSS reading facilities built in.
In Firefox (or Internet Explorer / Safari etc) click on the orange RSS icon in the browser address bar (see below). This will automatically add the Wallace Feed to your default reader.

Simple download the zip file and double click on the widget icon to install. The screen shot to the right shows how the feed will look on your desktop. The widget downloads the last ten articles listed on the Wallace High site.
The widget is Universal which means it will run on both PowerMac and Intel Apple Mac computers. To download the widget click on the widget icon below. For more on Apple dashboard widgets visit Apple.com.
Please note this is a freeware application. Wallace High School does not support or provide a warranty for this download.
